The beautiful city of Ipswich notorious with paint sniffing, extreme seasons, and not to mention a surplus of Ford and Holden enthusiasts isnt well known for anything even slightly musical, but with a bit of luck and some hereditary Bogan charm a few blokes would like to change that perception. When Secrets Kill began performing in late 2003 as a 4 piece; setting out to combine melodic punk rock with the sharper, harder edge of new school hardcore. The band continued to play shows until the two founding guitarists left to pursue other interests. With shows already booked for the coming months, Anthony Matthews (drummer) and Kris Stumer (Vocals/Bass) began searching for a new guitarist. The only man for the job was David Roche, a high school friend and veteran on the frets. When Secrets Kill, now an unmarked 3 piece, continued to develop together over the past year and a half and have put together a new set that has been pleasing crowds across Ipswich and Brisbane alike. Drawing inspiration from bands like Calico System, Hopesfall, Underoath and He Is Legend, When Secrets Kill have continued to gain experience playing with many respected bands at well known venues over the last year, with plans to tour abroad in the near distant future. http://www.myspace.com/whensecretskillband |
