The onus of the four members of Knifefight is to play technical, rhythmic but heavy hardcore while still keeping strong ties to each individual member's beliefs and musical tastes. With four very individual members collaboratively working together the final product makes for a unique and distinct sound.

Since their first shows in April of 2004 Knifefight have change writing styles considerably. The first songs the were played at their first shows in April of 2004 have been all but replaced by the newer and better known sound of Knifefight Opus.

Knifefight Opus hit the studio in late 2004 to record tracks for the Northcoast Hardcore Volume One compilation where they showcased along with bands such as Against, xWish for Wingsx and The Amity Affliction. The track "Hidden Agendas" is a prime example of the miscellany and intensity of the music and lyrical content that Knifefight Opus prides themselves on.

With growing local interest, Knifefight have played shows with International and Australian bands such as xChampionx (Seattle), Against, Her Nightmare, Taking Sides, Perish the Thought, Slain of Myself, Through Closed Eyes, From these Wounds, xWish for Wingsx and The Daylight Curse.

Knifefight have recently released their debut EP titled FAREWELL and will now be focusing on playing shows in the next few months to promote the release.

In a genre of tradition and expectation Knifefight are bringing something new to the plate. Serious heavy music with real, life-oriented lyrics that still maintains its individual and unique presence.
